  • DESCRIPTION
    MECHANISM OF ACTION During the estrous cycle in the luteal phase Boviprost® level causes a decrease in ovarian concentration levels receptor luteinizing hormone (LH) and causing regression of the corpus luteum and prompt decreased levels of progesterone and as consequently increases the anterior pituitary release of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) which gives results follicle maturation, the onset of oestrus and ovulation. INDICATIONS Boviprost®, is indicated for Bovines in: A: Estrus not visible B: Term unwanted pregnancy. C: Remove mummified fetuses. D: Chronic endometritis (pyometra). E: Synchronizing estrus. F: Termination of pseudopregnancy. Boviprost®. It is recommended to control oestrus each animal, Boviprost® is useful for synchronizing estrus in cows groups, in order to promote the treatment groups size suitable for feeding artificial insemination and "drying" .It improve the chances of keeping a herd in strict breeding season and the number of cows is reduced anestrous at the end of the breeding program. Equines: Approximately 8 to 10% of the mares conceive, may lose the fetus during the first 100 days of gestation. This loss is often diagnosed during routine examinations. Such mares again not present zeal for a few weeks, due to the persistence of the corpora lutea in the ovary. If this persistence is not diagnosed and treated it may be lost valuable time. In such cases, Boviprost® can be used to induce luteolysis and ovulation followed estrus.
  • DOSE
    DOSAGE Bovines: Manage the cows as a single dose of 2 mL Horses: Administer a single dose of 0.5 to 2.0 ml depending on the weight of the animal: horse and donkey (of less than 400 kg body weight) 0.5 to 1.0 mL. Yeguas (over 400 kg body weight) of 1.0 to 2.0 mL. ADMINISTRATION Deep intramuscular injection.
  • WARNINGS
    Boviprost® avoid administration to pregnant animals unless the abortion is desired. Avoid handling Boviprost® by pregnant women or people with asthma. Treated animals may not be intended for human consumption within 24 hours. PRECAUTIONS Keep in a cool place. Keep out of reach of children Boviprost® must be used under the recommendations and control of a veterinarian.
