  • DESCRIPTION
    DESCRIPTION Dexamethasone is an anti-inflammatory, anti-stress gluconeogenic, synthetic analog of prednisolone. INDICATIONS for its potent gluconeogenic effect is indicated in the treatment of primary bovine ketosis; for their potent antiinflammatory effect is indicated in the treatment of acute and chronic inflammations or any animal species: arthritis and osteoarthritis different, rheumatism, myositis, dermatitis, excemas, pruritus etc. It is also indicated as therapy support as shipping fever infections, mastitis, metritis and pyelonephritis, coupled with appropriate antibiotic primary therapy. Also anti - inflammatory in cases of acute mastitis, pneumonia, laminitis and retained placenta.
  • DOSE
    Bovine: 5 to 20 mg (2.5 10 mL) intravenously or intramuscularly for 3-5 days. Equines: 5 to 10 mg (2.5 to 5 ml) intravenously, intramuscularly or intraarticular for 3-5 days. Porcine and Nokia-Goats: 5 to 10 mg (2.5 to 5 ml) intravenously or intamuscular for 3-5 days. Canine and Feline: 0.25 to 1 mg (0.125 to 0.5 mL) intravenous, intramuscular or intraarticular for 3-5 days.
  • USE
    In all domesticated mammals.
  • WARNINGS
    The use of any corticosteroid at the end of gestation (last third) can accelerate the birthing process in cattle, sheep and goats. This product should not be used 5 days before slaughter of animals intended for human consumption. Milk from cows treated 72 hours after treatment should not be used. Consult your veterinarian.
