  • DESCRIPTION
     Description: DECTIVER®, is a sterile injectable solution of ivermectin 1% ready for use. It is indicated in the treatment and as an adjunct in controlling external parasites in dogs and cats. DECTIVER® acts on the effective control of mites following:. Sarcoptes spp, Otodectes spp, Cheyletiella spp, Demodex canis, Notoedres spp.. ACTION MODE: Ivermectin belongs to the avermectin family, which are macrocyclic lactones from the fermentation of actinomycete Streptomyces avermitilis. Of avermectins B1a 'commonly known as ivermectin, is the most important because of its high potency against a broad spectrum of ecto- and endoparasites of domestic animals. The mechanism of action of Ivermectin involves amino butyric acid range (GABA) that is a neurotransmitter parasites. Ivermectin stimulates the release of GABA from nerve endings and promotes GABA binding with specific receptors on nerve synapse, whereby the transmission of nerve impulses is blocked and interrupts, which paralyzes and causes the death of the parasite. In the case of mammals, INDICATIONS: For the treatment and prevention of parasitosis by adult worms and larvae, mites and arthropods dogs and cats: Endo: -Intestinales: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Toxocara cati, Strongyloides stercoralis, Ancylostoma caninum, Ancylostoma brasiliense, tubaeforme Ancylostoma, hookworm stenocephala, Trichuiris vulpis, Spirocerca Lupi and rare Physaloptera. -Respiratorios: capillaria aerophila, Filaroides osleri, Filaroides hirthi, Aelurostrongylus abstrusus, Angiostrongylus vasorun, Pnuemonyssoides Eucoleus caninum and bohemian. -Cardiovasculares: heartworm and Dipetalonema reconditum. ectoparasites: -Acaros: Demodex infestation, Sarcoptes scabiei, Notoedres cati, Otodectes cynotis, cheyletiella blakei, cheyletiella yasguri. -Piojos: Trichodectes canis and Felicola subostratus. -Pulgas: Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis. -Garrapatas: Boophilus spp. and Dermacentor variabilis.
  • DOSE
     Sarcoptic mange and inflammation by Neumonyssus caninum: 200-400 mcg per kg body weight with 14 - day interval, SC route for 4-6 weeks. Ascariascis otodéctica: 200-400 mcg per kg body weight 14 days interval SC route with a minimum of two applications. Cheyletiellosis: 300 mcg per kg body weight SC route with 3 week interval. Canine Demodicosis: mcg 400 per kg body weight via SC at intervals of 8 days, 8 applications in total. Scabies notoedrica: 200 mcg per kg body weight via SC, repeat treatment after 6 to 8 weeks.   • WARNINGS
    Avermectins are not well tolerated by some animal species, serious instances of intolerance has been observed, resulting in death in some breeds of dogs, especially collies, sheepdogs and similar to their cross breeds. Aquatic animals are sensitive to ivermectin toxicity, so the products and their packaging must be disposed of safely, incinerating or burying. Bury empty containers in places not inhabited. Do not throw them into rivers or lakes. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
