     Each mL contains: Sulfamethoxazole - 40 mg Trimethoprim - 8 mg Vehicle qs - 1 mL
  • DESCRIPTION
     The Sulfatropin® Oral is a formulation of sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim which synergizes with clear bactericidal effect due to a sequential block bacterial enzymes involved in the synthesis of folic acid, which causes death of the bacterial cell. INDICATIONS: Broad spectrum antimicrobial indicated for the treatment of infections caused by Gram (-) and Gram (+) susceptible to the combination product. It acts against infections of the respiratory, digestive tract and urinary tract.It is indicated in dogs and cats, in cases where required a potent systemic antibacterial action: infections of the respiratory, digestive, genitourinary apparatus and septicemia. The combination is active against gram positive bacteria and gram negative species such as susceptible of Actinomyces genus, Actinobacillus (Haemophilus), Bordetella, Clostridium, Corynebacterium, Fusobacterium, Klebsiella, Pasteurella, Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, Campylobacter and Escherichia coli, and susceptible species of Streptococcus and Staphylococcus. Are moderately sensitive most species of the genus Brucella, Erysipelothrix, Nocardia, Moraxella and some of the Streptococcus genus. They are resistant genera Pseudomonas and Mycobacterium.
  • DOSE
     15 mg per kg of body weight every 12 hours. CANINES: 5 mL per 16 kg of body weight every 12 hours for 5 days. FELINES: 1.5 mL per 5 kg body weight every 12 hours for 5 days. ADMINISTRATION: Oral

    Canines and felines.
  • WARNINGS
    Shake before using. Store in a cool place and not exposed to sunlight. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use in pregnant females or lactating.
